Husband had both sizes of this. Gave the larger one away years ago and never stopped talking about it. Turns out he needed the larger one too. So we bought it again.

Comes in very handy in my Hobie kayak.

So I’ve been using this for a while now and it is an amazing tool for all anglers, especially Kayak anglers in particular! 
The only downside for me was it felt like it was upside down. Which I know is perfect for when you’re using it as a normal phone etc but I use mine for videos as well. Other than that I thought it to be an amazing tool!!!💯

I hang my fishing net on it to be at hand when needed

My sturdy custom "Riverstick" wading staff made in Canada weighs about 1 lb. The wading staff retractor I was using with a hiking pole wading staff allowed the Riverstick to drop below easy reach. The Boomerang XD retractor keeps the Riverstick tight against the retractor housing so it's within easy reach. I opted for the strap attachment that I loop around my "rigger" wading belt and it works great.

great way to keep track of tools /etc. while flyfishing, already own a couple for my wife and I wanted some extras so I didn't have to decide what not to attach.

I've been using one of these for several years and now couldn't imagine going fishing without it!
Strong and durable too. I keep one in my boats and my kayak. I've never had one fail unless I stepped on it or something similar...

The pull cord on your boomerang cutters need to be jus a ring because I jus attach the ring to a more reliable zinger ..my last pair the pull string didn't retract and made the cutter useless...or make the zinger more heavy duty.

There is little more to say about these products. If you want something that will last, this is it.

I use my tether to save my cell phone. I attach the tether to a stick-on-ring on my cell phone and clip it to my waist. When I drop my cell phone, it never hits the ground. Saved myself lots of money and the bother of replacing phones. Thank for your such a versatile product. Also attached it to a small point-and-shoot camera to avoid the obvious catastrophe of dropping it.

Received Fishing line cutter in expedient timeframe. Tool is a solid cutter, and also convenient to use. Cuts alsost any line efficiently. Love it.

I’ve had this cutter for 2 months now I fish in salt water at least 3times a week and they are holding up great still cutting like the first time

I fish all over the US West Coast with these snips and love them!

Own four different pairs currently, two are from my favorite tackleshop Charkbait.

Got a separate tacklebox for each fishing discipline I do and put a snip in each box (fly fishing box, freshwater box, saltwater box, surf fishing box). That way I don't forget to bring the snips on my trips.

I rate these original snips 4 out of 5 stars easily. Nearly destroyed one pair by dropping it in the EXTREMELY silty mud of Ship Creek in downtown Anchorage, Alaska. The snips failed to cut and retract afterwards but that's understandable. I disassembled the snip and partially repaired it after rinsing the silt out with lots of water. Now it's back to 80% but that was a serious chore getting the powerful spring back inside correctly. Sand from surf fishing can also cause issues but just take care and you'll be fine.

Overall: highly recommend.

This this retractable line cutter is a lifesaver and Time saver you can hook it to your belt loop or anywhere on yourself and it's right there you don't have to search around for a pair of scissors to cut your line

Does the original snip cut wire.
I was reading the advertisement (gear guide) in the May/June 2022 Tail Fly fishing magazine and it’s states it cuts wire.
But not seeing that stated here.
Is that that Salt water snip for wire?
This looks like a great product and would purchase regardless but want to know which model for wire

I was a little skeptic because all of the other competitors out there promised the same thing just to fail once you get the product. This product worked as advertised. I’ve used it on old and new braid and it works as advertised. Well worth the money. The LED light is also a good addition.

Not impressed. Took this on a fishing trip to Minnesota and fish time I used it the line would not retract back into the tool.

Cut braided line like butter, any angle any where. The only issue I have is that you constructed such a nice machine and then put a plastic carabiner on it. You know that is not going to last thru the rough and tumble of heavy fishing etc.

Have been looking for the best cutters especially for braid. I have found them. No more fraying of line. Cleanest cut on all three line types: braid, flouro and mono. Thank you!!

Have only sampled these snips at home. They cut great, no frayed line and puts light right where you need it. Night fishing is over for this year looking forward to using them next summer.

I have used the original with the shorter blades. Should of bought the longer bladed ones first. They work great. The UV light is a plus as well.
